Districts in SWAY
In previous projects it was identified that within Sway, despite it being a only a village, that there were different areas which could be described as districts. These were identifies using an analysis of the different house types in the area. This type of analysis can be applied further to the proposed second potential site located on Westbeams Road. This street was identified as a district and so its housing can be explored further in the below image.
Here the building outlines, including the school, located on the street have been lined up in size and shape order. There is a little variety in the size of the buildings but the majoirty are of similar proportions and shape, either rectangular or 'L' shaped. The majority of the dwellings are detached, with a mixture of bungalows and houses.
